Instead of air pump I wonder if you could have this near the exit tube of a skimmer I have plenty of air bubbles there

I am currently trying these out myself. I set up my Nitra Guard BioCubes in a PhosBan 550 and re attached the airline to the Maxijet 1200 pump to inject the air. Nitrates are currently 50ppm, using a Salifert kit, as of Dec. 23rd., when I started.

Hoping for the best.

I will be keeping an eye on this thread, keep us updated- I am curious to see how well it works for you....

well tested my nitrates today with the redsea test kit
im down to 4ppm in 23 days.
i first had it in same compartmentas my skimmer ,then i put it in my overflow which and all water comes into contact.
best part is i got no algaes growing and i dont have to add any bacterias

Are you running the titanium version or the standard? Can you post a picture of the way you have them set up with the air stone?

here i have put my cubes in my overflow.
most have them in there sump. simple, put cubes in bag supplied, airstone inside bag at bottom, cubes ontop, airline to airpump.
im using a 3" airstone .

So from what I have read, it appears standard cubes lower nitrates primarily and phosphates as well, all though no as quickly and drastically. The titanium will reduce nitrates in systems where phosphates are undetectable.

Does that sound right?
