I've been using the brightwell Nitrate and Phosphate supplements to raise my levels, but it does not seem to be going up. Given that my tank is about 160g, is there any other product's out there that are more concentrated that I can try out?

My tank is 160g roughly, and I dose around 30ML per day of each, and my nitrates and p04 literally isn't moving (Skimmer and Fuge off). Given that each bottle is about $20 each (roughly) I've been burning through it pretty quickly. Any other suggestions?

Would either of the follow two, work?

Have you considered making your own nitrate and phosphate additives? Depending on your burn rate, you can likely make enough to last you between a few years to a lifetime for $20.

Yeah, in the original post, I showed the powder form of nitrate /phosphate and figured I can just mix it myself which should last me years at $20

I just wanted to see if using the powder from GLA, if that was correct :

Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) - 1 lb

Mono Potassium Phosphate (KH2PO4) - 1 lb

Sorry, I should have clarified- you were right. What I really meant to say is that if you are going down the route of mixing your own supplements, is there a reason you are using these products as opposed to buying the reagents yourself? Particularly, if given the choice and all things being equal, any reason you aren't leaning towards sodium in lieu of potassium (e.g. sodium nitrate and trisodium phosphate)?

Not really, I was just looking at options and that came up.

Bumping this.

Just wanted to check, that

Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) - 1 lb
Mono Potassium Phosphate (KH2PO4) - 1 lb

both are fine to use as my nitrate and phosphate dosing right?
