Hi all, Please follow my ( Henn ) new tank build thread. The Nitrate Removal Method described has allowed me to Breed Dwarf Seahorses in a Marine Pond. The exact same method is used in the Fresh Water Shrimp Pond here. The new Reef Tank was cycled in 6 days 6 hours to receive Frags from the Marine Pond here. Yes, the aragonite stone will still take 6 weeks. The new Nitrate Bio Reactors were on line by day 3. You can make these reactors out of foam filter parts and the correct Knitted Cloth. Please look at the build. This method may solve some sad tank problems. Just hang one in and let it run. If this method could help anyone with Nitrate, please send them. This doesn't cover it up or absorb it. It breaks it down as it should. The high flow and efficient Anaerobic Packet Size replace what used to be done by real Dry Coral Surfaces. Come on board Fellow Reefers, you have only your excess Nitrates to lose. PS: They are self cleaning and provide a home for live food.

The methods to build a Nitrate Reactor are detailed. It is unlike anything available and can be built in hours. To show how effective the Reactor is, I designed a Reef Tank Build for hard coral using the Reactor Method ( two totally repurposed foam filter units, the right Knitted cloth, and a 5 ml dropper, make the whole Tank System ). The incorporated Protein Skimmer works great and is the only water exchange port. There are Marine Ponds here with Breeding Dwarf Seahorses. There are Fresh Water Ponds full of Fresh Water Shrimp. There is no algae, smell, nitrates, or Proteins ( big Protein Cannons in all ponds). The Reef Tank Build is just a small version of my Marine Pond Systems. My ponds have operated for years with these methods. The Tank Build is my first attempt to share a game changing methodology. The Tank is also designed to raise Pelagic Larva. It will keep Larva suspended for an indefinite time until the air noise triggers landing. Just remove the Peppermint Parents after spawning.

Most tanks these days struggle with low nutrients, not high. Plenty of choices in modern days...

Interesting @Henn. Can you provide the details on building the cylinders, and how you run them?
