I have Dino’s and need to up nitrates that are currently at 0.

Sodium Nitrate, Reagent Grade (chemically pure) – 1 lb. bag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0190TOJUS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_1uXHCbPEM7MJ2

Looking at this product. Assuming this will work I am looking for a calculator to figure out a standard.

I tired using http://www.theplantedtank.co.uk/calculator.htm but don’t really understand it. Looking to make a solution that’s concentrated enough to dose 10 to 20 mil a day for a 125 gallon tank.

Thanks

10 to 20 mL per day to raise the nitrate concentration by how much? The planted tank's calculator assumes that you're using potassium nitrate, so the calcs will be off a little anyway.

1 ppm then I can go from there.

If I make a 20oz bottle will this be

Yes - approximately. Because potassium nitrate has a higher molar mass (101 g/mol) than sodium nitrate (85 g/mol), and probably roughly the same density, you'll actually be putting in slightly more nitrate with a sodium nitrate solution made according to the Planted Tank Calculator. If you were making the solution by weight instead of volume (i.e., 8 teaspoons), you'd be dosing slightly less nitrate than the planted tank calculator would indicate based on a potassium nitrate solution.

However, that inaccuracy isn't going to make any difference, since you're likely to be adding it and testing for the result.
