My nitrates are 0, and im getting some dino issues. I got some Brightwell Aquatics NeoNitro to start dosing, just wondering how much I should start with? Tank is a 40 breeder. Does it matter it does it the day or after lights off?

If you are using commercial products follow their instructions explicitly.

IMO when you dose isn't so important as how you dose. You actually want to use a doser so that you can cut the amount down and spread it out over time.

The bottle says Multiply tank capacity in gallons x ppm increase desired x .1261 = ml of product to add. So 40 breeder with rocks and sand is like 30 gallons. Im at 0 nitrate now, and I want to get to 5. So 30 x 5 x .1261 =18. So add about 18 ml? Or am I doing it wrong?

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
