Nitrate dropped from 7.1 to 1.9

My nitrate has dropped from 7.1 to 1.9 in 2 weeks should I be worried? My phosphate has been at .00 Sense I’ve been testing for the past 2-3 months my tank is also only about 4-5 months old. I have also been having a hard time keeping my glass and water clear I will clean the glass and in 1hr it is dirty again with brown haze I am installing a UV today to try and clear it up but with this big of a change in my nitrate I am wondering if that is the problem and if so what should I do?

I am also using Gfo and carbon in a reactor should I stop using Gfo sense my phosphate is 0?

yes stop using gfo, any bottled bacterial products, carbon dosing, or tropic marin all for reef being used?

i use Microbacter 7 but haven’t added any for a couple weeks

I agree no GFO. I would recommend 10% weekly water changes, a small bag of carbon in the sump. That’s it.

Okay thanks I was using a small bag of carbon and Gfo and just got a reactor like 3 days ago and hooked it up with Gfo carbon mix but I will remove it and use only carbon today

Stop GFO. Many tanks need Nitrate and Phosphate supplementation to maintain adequate levels.
