Just purchased a Hanna Nitrate Hr instrument. It read 4.2 I just got back from vacation some coral aren’t out as much. I had someone watch the tank I believe they over fed it. Does anyone know the chart for reading the instrument? Thank you

if its reading 4.2, then your NO3 is at 4.2. No need to convert

I just want make sure that’s okay. I’m not sure what the safe or correct levels should be.

4.2 is not bad at all, but every ones tank is different so 4.2 might be good for your tank, might not be good for others.
