QT is setup and ready to go. First batch of fish due to arrive today. Do you worry about nitrate in QT? How high does it get before you do a water change?

I don't worry about nitrates in QT. Nitrates simply aren't a problem unless they get ridiculously high (e.g. hundreds of parts per million). If you are doing regular water changes, then it's a non-issue.

I have literally never tested for nitrates in any of my QT tanks. Only time I do water changes is when removing a medication or if the water gets so thick the fish have trouble swimming.
