Nitrate levels

Hi all

I've been testing my nitrates every 3 days as I've been unsure of my levels

I was dosing tank with no3po4:x but have stopped for the last week

It looks like to me its not 0 but it's not high either here is a photo (sorry for the dirty hands)

Looks to be 0 to me.

With that said, the API test kit is not very good at measuring the low levels we like to keep in marine tanks. API is great for a general idea of where your levels are, but as you have noted, anything below 5ppm just shows as 0.

Do yourself a favor and get a better test kit. Such as Red Sea Pro, NYOS, salifert.
