I cant Seem to get it up. I have chaeto in my sump beside my skimmer, a red sea reefmat. My tank is 350 liter/90 gallon ~. Do i turn off my reefmat to let my tank get dirty? I have tried feeding but it does not help. I have algae in DT - i have 3 fish (clown, yellow goby, mini tang), and 7 small corals

Have the skimmer off during the day or just tune it so it stops collecting skimmate. Feed heavily

Reduce your light time for chaeto as well.

I think it's the low bioload with lots of nutrient export (chaeto, reefmat, skimmer) causing this issue.

would you recommend turning off the reef mat?

Got a pic of the tank ?

Phosphate can be hard to measure with many test kits.
One of mine does not go below .2ppm when in fact, mine is 0.06ppm.

While it could be zero, it’s likely not and trace is all you need.

Make sure your getting accurate results.

Thanks alot my first tank actually in the process of putting a 125 together it's too hard for me to grow SPS here
what kinda lights is that? i am using red sea led 90s

Get yourself some Brightwell Neonitrate and Neophosphate. I dose everyday to keep my po4 and no3 up. I run skimmer 24/7 and feed 3 times a day
I bought Aquaforest NO3 and PO4. How do often do i dose?

The best thing you can do is not chase numbers. I’m actually dealing with the same situation on my 50g frag tank. Like others have said turn off your cheato maybe run it for 1-2 hours so the chaeto wont die And lower your skimmer time. It’ll slowly start to increase. If you start dosing NO3 and PO4 you’ll start chasing numbers and as I’ve learned things can get out of wack quickly.

I would
1. Lower cheato light to 1-2 hours
2. Run skimmer for less time
3. Reduce water changes

these 3 things are the biggest nutrient exports you have in your system there for slow them down.

also do you have any chemipure bags in there ? If so pull them out. Those bags are made from carbon, GFO and some form of nitrate reduce. Run a media bag with just pure carbon.
