Need some guidance from the reef pro's.

Let me start out by saying my reef tank looks the best its looked in a long time--colorful, good growth and healthy fish. A couple month ago i fought and won a battle with Dino's by adding a UV and boosting my P04 and N03. My parameters are all within acceptable ranges except my N03 which is up around 40-50ppm --API kit.

Question:
- Should i worry about my N03 at 50ppm or should i take some action to reduce my N03 level to a lower range?
- If the recommendation is to lower N03 to ~~10ppm how should i accomplish this?

Thanks for your help!!

I would try another test kit like salifert, red sea or noys to test for No3.

Then water changes 30% every 3 days to reduce the nitrate over time, remove any filter socks and addition of some Bactria like Brightwell Microbacter 7. chaeto algea with a strong light in fuge can help also.
and keep in mind to lower the nitrate and phosphate values slowly so you don't shock your life stock by a sudden change in parameters.
