I use the salifert kits for nitrate and all my other tests. Seems pretty accurate Otherwise Red Sea nitrate kit is suppose to be really good

The API test kits are not that great. I'm sure when used correctly they work, but they're not held in great regard in this hobby from what i've observed.

I saw that pinpoint makes a digital nitrate test that's like $220. Has anyone ever used it?

The Rea Sea Pro is highly recommended and is one of the few accurate test kits in low ranges, but if you keep your tank > 3ppm all the time then NYOS is a bit faster and easier.

Agree, I really like the Nyos test - easy to read in that range.

Elos or redsea only Red Sea Test I like. API works but as was said before you have to follow the directions to a T.

+1 for the nyos it is easy to use and reading it is a breeze. I'm going to get a Red Sea when my nyos runs out though as my nitrates are always 0 so I want something tht reads lower levels

Nyos is nice and easy to use. Red Sea Pro is nice for really low readings.
