Nitrate Test

I have a Salifert test kit which is only a couple months old and well in use by date. The first few tests I ran it came out pink. But now for some reason I ran it 3 times last night to triple check, but it was turning yellow instead. I've never had this happen in 10 years. What could be going wrong?

Have you added livestock? Going through some problems with my tank as well, I believe too much livestock was added to fast in my system.

How high were the previous levels and how long ago was that?

How high were the previous levels and how long ago was that?

Previous levels were between 5 and 10 a couple of weeks ago.
