Ok guys i need some help how i can reduce my nitrates in my tank i just a water test today and my nitrate its on 80 acording to my text kit i am using api fir test i need a solution to bring down.

Water changes are the fastest way to do it.

Def double check the test. Api is well, api.
+1 to this, there are various ways, but water changes are the simplest on ‘normal’ sized tanks

Water change and a small application of Red sea NO2PO4 will help

Do you use any kind of mechanical filtration like filter beads, filter socks or canister filters. If so cleaning them every 3 days will help reduce your nitrates. All the filter methods work well at removing waste, excess food and particulate mater from you tank. If you do not clean them often the stuff they collect breakers down into nitrate and phosphate.

I use filter socks, algae scrubber and carbon

If you clean you socks every 3 days and increase the light duration on your ATS you should be able to reduce your nitrates fairly quickly. If your using a good light but not getting much algae growth you may want to dose some iron.
