I am unable to find anything of substance in relation to NO3 (nitrate) concentrations and fish mortality, beyond opinion of course. If anyone has a link or reference they care to share it would be appreciated. I am looking for research and data from legitimate sources and not self proclaimed scientists. Thank you :)

Hey, welcome to reef2reef!

Which species of fish are you interested in? Freshwater, saltwater, individual species, etc?

A friendly hint as a new member- while I appreciate you are trying to make the request for peer-reviewed literature, kindness goes a long way! You're more likely to get help with neutral or positive requests than requests than end by putting the people that might be trying to help down. :)

Hence the reason for the smiley emoji and "Thank you" at the end of the post as if to gesture a statement made 'tongue in cheek' and, to designate the post as a safe respite for those who may melt and/or find offense. Relax, no one is touching your stuff Francis :)
