Nitrates and Phosphates improving ZOA’s?

I’ve a bizarre (or not) change on Zoa growth. For the last year my Zoas have struggled. I’ve responded to the ‘Dirty Water’ question. I started to dose with Nitrates but then went away for a week left in the hands of my wife. I’ve come back to see the tank appearing to have responded to Nitrates of about 2 and Phosphate of 0.02. Not entirely sure why Nitrates have increased. Maybe through the use of Vibrant. Could it be Vibrant that has increased Nitrates. Let’s see what the next week brings.

yeah zoas like dirtier water. I feed my tank pretty heavy and they all grow really good

I wouldn't say Vibrant increases nitrates directly, but as algae dies off, it can release some nitrates and phosphates back into the water.

Zoas like mom better.

Vibrant Lowers nutrients. Period.
BUT , also contains an organic carbon source.
A lot of zoa heads use Vitamin C for this exact reason.
