Nitrates API test?

I think both of those numbers seem pretty close, yeah. I'm doing my normal scheduled water changes tomorrow on my tanks, so this tank will get another 5 gallon change.
This is JMO...
Your reef looks really good and I'd rather be a little high on the parameters than zeroed out. You can still drop them but I'd take it slow so you don't shock your corals by drooping the #'s too fast and not having enough organics in the water column to keep your corals healthy.

Hopefully the skimmer fix that you made, has resolved your raising nitrate issue.

Definitely. Everyone seems happier than ever in the tank. Corals, fish, and inverts alike. These pics were taken about an hour ago :)

Today's test. Looks to be somewhere in the middle of 10 and 25. Eh, it's not climbing, so I'm pretty comfortable with it. The skimmer seems to be doing its job, as well as that larger water change.

Consensus?? The shadow is my biggest problem. The bottom half of he sample looks like 10 and the top (where he shadow is playing in) looks like 20.

What do y'all think?

Let me wipe my tears first. It's the same color as my cyano that left today. I'm gonna say 17.

I think that your card color has no shadows, so I say about 10. :)

That's what I'm thinking, which makes me happy :) There doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to actually test my water when there's some sunlight shining in the house to eliminate the crazy shadows.
