Started cycling cured dry rock in a 32 gallon brute. After 20 days here are my results...

Ammonia 2.0
Nitrite 0.0
Nitrate 1.0

Is this normal?

Id say you're still cycling (this particular bioload, ie rotting tissue mass on live rock) in the sense that all Ammonia is not being converted immediately into Nirites then Nitrates. Once the species' of bacteria responsible for each of the Ammonia -> Nitrite -> Nitrate -> N2 gas interconversions are built up to a stable, sufficient level then you wont be able to detect anything but the Nitrate which is yet to be (denitrified?) into N2 gas out into the atmosphere. Correct me if I'm wrong guys, long day at work ....
