Nitrates creeping up

I have been dosing Vodka for a few days now, I topped my water up, let everything simmer for a bit and I retested. Nitrates 20-30 now. They seem to be coming down, I will continue with a low Vodka dose each day and monitor progress.

I was adding some rock to the tank, so I was rearranging some rock, put some in the SUMP. I have been adding a few pounds of cured live rock here and there. I'm at like 180-200 pounds in my system which is maybe 150-160 gallons of water.
I'm happy with my progress on this tank since it was built. I have learned a lot, and managed to maintain stable parameters. A few hiccups but easily fixed.

Update -
I have tossed the old skimmer and got a SRO 3000INT SSS Cone Skimmer as of yesterday
This thing is a beast, it broke in within 1-2 hours. I already see darker coloured skim bubbling up, and particles being pushed up. I LOVE this thing already.
I also got a Reef Octopus Bio pellet reactor, I am currently running 300ml of bio pellets which is about half, I'll add more as weeks go on, don't want to overload. The output of the reactor sits beside the skimmer at the drain side of the sump. Seeing as how I went +2 on the skimmer it shouldn't be an issue to clean that water
Will monitor the tank and update with test results as time goes on.

I don't think that after dosing .4mls that your Nitrates started to come down for that reason, probably as a whole they are coming down because of everything your doing. I dose, and have a daily dosage of 24mls. .4 is nothing to a large system.
