Yesterday after a water change i tested my parameters to find my nitrates were somewhere around 50ppm

Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate 40-50ppm
Ph 8.2
Alk 11 dkh

I dont know this happened it seems i have over dosed nutrients but idk how when i dose the recomended every 2-3 weeks maybe i should go longer periods between maybe? Anyways need some advise on bringing down those levels any input would be much appreciated

I used NoPoX brought it down from 60 it’s now around 5. Within a week, corals are upset [emoji22]. So am I now.

Your first thread stated you dosed nutrients, to me that means aminos or nitrates. Part a & b should not be adding nitrates. Either it is a bad test kit, testing error or it is coming from your source water.

Yes so this supplement if used as specified its supposed to keep my levels golden it could be a bad test kit idk maybey ill pick up another brand and test again and it is possible it is my source water. is there ways to bind that or eliminate nitrate from your source water prior to water changes.... im baffled all my fish seem fine my inverts are fine been using my same source water for 5 months now no issues. maybe rotting food? but that wouldnt make sense my ammonia and nitrite are at 0 honestly guys im confused... ill stick to some decent water changes and see if it mellows out if it does my source water should be fine ill test my source water anyways and let yall know if that was my issue i never thought about that untill you said something. Ill keep everyone posted on my findings.

Well got some lr and some nems so dosing for them mainly

I dont have a sump but i got some seachem purigen and it seems to be lowering ill see if it stabilizes
