I have been battling high nitrates for a week, have done 3 25g water changes on a 75g tank, I’ve even dosed Seachems to bind the nitrates. Getting ready to do another water change.
It worries me that I do not know how this is happening. I had always been a heavy feeder but my water has been in check, Nitrates=<25. Nothing has died, I have now switched to pellet food instead of frozen until the nitrates get down.
The only thing I changed in my routine is adding Red Sea AB+ to the tank for my corals. The fish look fine, the acran is no small again & I somehow cannot grow monti ever.
What am I overlooking? Ph 8, Alk 8, Mag 1200-1300, Cal 410-440, Nitrates 100 all the time!
