Nitrates too high?

Hey everyone so I have a Red Sea Reefer 250 and I did a 20 gallon water change hoping to bring down the nitrate levels.I’m getting a shipment of various SPS frags tomorrow but the nitrates are still around 15. Should I do another water change? If so, how big? Thanks.

15ppm is fine. The easiest range to stay in is 5-15ppm in my opinion.

I've had nitrates over 75 and no real issues other than can't let them keep getting higher. 15 is not an issue at all.

Shouldn't be. I had my nitrates raise up to about 50ppm for a month before they finally dropped. The colors did dull some on my corals, they were noticeably more vibrant once it came back under 20ppm.

No. I think its only an issue if you have that plus very low or very high phosphate (for 2 separate reasons)

I should clarify that while I don't have issues, it's not going to give you the best growth. So keeping it lower is a good idea. I'm sure I would have had more growth if it had been lower.

15ppm of no3 are the perfect for mix reef tank, i will keep it 5-25 if i really can. Too low of no3 and po4 will cause the dino to outbreaks., that was nightmare as i met before. Happy reefing!!!
