Nitrates

Gfo has been shown to become quickly saturated in tanks with higher phosphates. Depending on your levels, you could change it tomorrow and need to change it again in 24 hours. I would use something like phosgard to bring the levels under control first. But some corals can be sensitive to that product.

Start reading on carbon dosing, better sooner than later, best way with nopox imo. Otherwise if you have the room, look into refugiums.
There's multiple approaches to each of these so get reading because you have lots to learn! :P

I have a sump with refugium , and yes I have a lot to learn I am reading all I can asking a lot of questions , y'all are probably going to get tired of my questions, I do weekly water changes have increased the amount by a few gallons , have removed all foam pads from sump and system , have three power heads going with a moderate flow thru tank. Skimming is very good. I do appreciate all the help

Hey just an update , dosed bio digest on Wednesday night , did water change today and cleaned out sump , removed all foam pads from sump , Nitrates down to < 10 ppm and noticeable difference in nuisance alge already dieing off. I appreciate all the help Thanks

Once you get a handle on it you'll feel kinda silly you ever stressed so much about it. :)
At least that's how I felt..

Ya , I probably stressed a little to much , but we put so much time and effort to make things right not even mentioning money but it is not about money it is about making a Eco system that sustains life and as close to nature as possible.
