Nitrates

I've been running Triton for quite some time, I have pretty decent macro growth, but I still have higher than ideal nitrates. Last I checked it was 16ppm. I feed once a day and ideally I'd like to feed more.

Any suggestions on how to get nitrates down around 5ppm? I've considered vodka dosing but that goes against the suggestions of the triton method, which I'd like to stick to.

Carbon dosing alongside Triton is fine, in fact it works very well. The one condition is that you use a source that does not contain any other contaminants as we are not doing water changes, Vodka or Vinegar is ok.

Thats great to hear, thank you for the info. Do you know if there are any advantages/disadvantages to Vodka over Vinegar and vice versa? @Randy Holmes-Farley

All of the softies look great, but some of the SPS could be doing better which is why I’m concerned.
