Nitrates

So I’m an advanced reef aquarists but I need everyone’s help. My tank is sps dominant with some lps and softies. My issue right now is nitrates 1ppm I want it to be at 4ppm. Anyway I added fish thought it would help but no. I feed my corals 3 times a day and fish 3 times a day and nope not helping nitrates. My questions for everyone is how can I raise them?!? I want to avoid dosing nitrates so please give me some ideas!

Protein skimmer that’s it and filter sock in my sump

So wanted to give y’all an update. Got my nitrates up over the course of a month. Some sps of mine is hating it and noticed more problems with the corals than before. So my little experiment is over now due to the stress to me trying to do this and I’m gonna go back to what I was doing before because I have never seen my corals thrive the way they did.
