So I’ve been struggling with high nitrates although most of my coral are fine. Cleaned the filter . Multiple large water changes . Quit feeding. I am debating using seachem denitrater . Any comments on using it ? Thanks guys

How high? You can dose PNS probio which is natural heterotrophic bacteria supplement that eliminates organic waste thus lowering nitrates naturally.

Mico Bacter XLM is great at reduction as is chemiPure Elite but with elite Monitor drops as it is capable of bringing levels to Zero. Too many recommendations though with chemical methods which I do not favor. There are many natural ways to reduce these levels safely and effectively.
Bio-pellet reactors are effective opposed to chemicals but best methods are simply performing regular water changes, reducing the amount of food that is fed daily and even rinsing the food or training it, reducing the number of fish in the system which produce waste, vacuuming sand bed and reducing detritus, turf scrubber, or skimming. Best range is 10-15ppm

I go the route of carbon dosing with either nopox or vodka dosing…each works well just be aware it will take some time..I have vodka dosed twice in three years and each time it lower my nitrates

How old is your tank? Size and inhabitants?
About 4 maybe 5 months. But I started with live sand and live rock. I have coralline already.
stock is 2 clowns. 2 pajamas. A Pygmy Angel a tiger conch. 2 turbo snails and 4 hermit crabs . 5 Yuma mushrooms. A brain a Kenya. Some zoantids a trumpet a pocillipora and a galaxy
Ammonia 0
Nitrates. 20 and above.
pH 8.2
KH 9
Calcium 449
Mag 1410
Phosphates 0.025
Salinity 0.025
Temp 78

Oh 20 gallon tall

It seems like a pretty decent bio load for a relatively small and young tank.

Do you have any nuisance algae outbreaks? Low Phosphate, so that's good.

I'd agree with above in dosing additional bacteria to help with the nitrogen cycle. You'll likely need to monitor daily and maybe think about smaller water changes more often to help with export.

Hang in there!

Thanks so much. Yes I have dosed with stability. No problem with algae. Already have coralline turning from green to purple on the dry rock that I attached to the live rock. I cycled fast because of how I did it. Five fish is probably my problem but I was feeding too much as well. Those clowns are just so cute and begging and cute. I have to refrain from spoiling them. Number one. Which I have been. This is very challenging to say the least lol but I’m glad to be in it.

Thanks , I think I’ll just give it a dose of stability and hold off on any chemicals. See what happens
