So I’ve been struggling with high nitrates although most of my coral are fine. Cleaned the filter . Multiple large water changes . Quit feeding. I am debating using seachem denitrater . Any comments on using it ? Thanks guys

How high? You can dose PNS probio which is natural heterotrophic bacteria supplement that eliminates organic waste thus lowering nitrates naturally. So I’ve been struggling with high nitrates although most of my coral are fine. Mico Bacter XLM is great at reduction as is chemiPure Elite but with elite Monitor drops as it is capable of bringing levels to Zero. Too many recommendations though with chemical methods which I do not favor. There are many natural ways to reduce these levels safely and effectively. So I’ve been struggling with high nitrates although most of my coral are fine. Cleaned the filter . Running a current USA orbit loop with 2 eflex wave makers. I have it on very low settings. It’s a small tank.Oh 20 gallon tall
Thanks so much. Yes I have dosed with stability. No problem with algae. Already have coralline turning from green to purple on the dry rock that I attached to the live rock. I cycled fast because of how I did it. Five fish is probably my problem but I was feeding too much as well. Those clowns are just so cute and begging and cute. I have to refrain from spoiling them. Number one. Which I have been. This is very challenging to say the least lol but I’m glad to be in it.It seems like a pretty decent bio load for a relatively small and young tank.
Do you have any nuisance algae outbreaks? Low Phosphate, so that's good.
I'd agree with above in dosing additional bacteria to help with the nitrogen cycle. You'll likely need to monitor daily and maybe think about smaller water changes more often to help with export.
Hang in there!
