I'll have to restart my 55 gallon saltwater tank with Fritz turbostart. I'm able to monitor for a week but we going out of town for 4 days. And was wondering would natural flying bacteria dye without ammonia?
Everything dies without food. But 4 days isn't likely to result in die off. Add some ammonia, few flakes and it'll be fine. I've kept tank cycled for weeks only adding ammonia every 3-4 days.
