Hello fellow reefers quick question I set up a 55 gallon holding tank with my skimmer and nextreef mr1 with gfo and a 40 to 60 hob filter with carbon .I used the water from my 120 and maybe 25 pounds of live rock .did a 12 gallon water change yesterday and noticed my nitrite is at about .25 and ammonia is kinda high as well .. vould it be my 55 is going through a cycle and what can I do to bring down those parameters

Sounds like a cycle to me. You may need to add a bottle of bacteria to the 55 and hope for the best. Do you have any livestock in the 55 yet? If not, you can skip the bacteria and let the cycle run its course.

Prime.... is your friend. Dose it to get them non toxic to fish then bacteria to remove.
