20 gallon saltwater tank. Cycling on 7th day with amonia at 0 and nitrite 5ppm. Should I do a water change or just wait it out
along with what others have said, drop a in decent bit of fish food and see if ammonia shows up after a few days, if it doesn't, do a final WC and then your tank should be ready for starter animals

Welcome to R2R and the salty world. All seems good, just lower temperature and increase salinity. Lots of knowledgeable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed.

1) assuming nothing has been added, raise the sg to 35. No need to go to slow if nothing is in the tank. And lower temp to 78, again, no need to go slow if nothing is in the tank.

2) I assume you had a spike in ammonia and now is 0. Add a fish, go slow. You have enough bacteria to support a fish.

And welcome to the best message board to the reefing world.

Why are my zoanthids not growing. Phosphate 0, alk 9.3, magnesium 1290, calcium 400
Maybe hungry. Are you sure you're phosphate is zero? How are your nitrates? You never want either of those zero. This is how corals feed themselves.
