Nitrite jump

Hi,
So I've been checking my parameters before a water change and I noticed a jump in the nitrite values.

Nitrite 3
PH 8
Salinity 1.026
Ammonia 0
Phosphate 0.25
Nitrate 20
KH 196.9 (or 11dkh)
Temp is 79
tested with API kits

Not sure why this jump as the nitrite used to be on 0.25 after the ammonia was stable on zero for few weeks

Any ideas what to do beside more water changes?

Do nothing. Nitrite is not a concern in marine tanks (unlike freshwater tanks).

It might just be a test error, but even if real, I would not do anything special as it will drop on its own.

Thank you for the response. I already read this article before I can across this forum. Great one very informative.

I did all the tests also because I was about to order a new shipment from LiveAquaria of few clownfish, tang and anemone. Should I hold on with that until it drops down or all the other parameters are fine so I can add more stock?

I now have 4 damsels and 1 mandarin that looks like they are doing great in the reef
