What tricks and useful tips do you all have to keep them under control? (other then the usual stuff)

Ammonia should never be a issue once tank is cycled. Neither should nitrite.

Nitrates on the other hand. Carbon dosing, water changes, pellot reactors, good skimmer, feed less, rinse food. Limit fish count.

Either add a a gallon or two of live rock rubble, or, what I did was add a bunch of Marinepure ceramic bioballs.
Most cost affective and easiest way to control both!

If you have Nitrite then I'd say the tank isn't cycled yet... once cycled Nitrite should never show up.. same with ammonia.

It was cyled for way to long actually I pay attention to the feeding. Don't cross the fish limit have a lot of rock a good skimmer ,... But thouse bioballs could be handy I don't have that yet
