Back again, and feeling pretty stupid after my years of studying the hobby before getting started and I am stuck on step one....cycling...

Tank is a evo 13.5 running lots of bio media, salinity at 35 ppt, temp around 78.

Ammonia has gone to "near" zero by salifert test kit, was at 5 ppm to start, dosed brightwell aquatics

My nitrites have not changed in the last 3 weeks and are testing around 2 ppm. (Salifert)

I have not been bothering to test nitrates as I hear nitrites will throw that test off and Give false readings.

Any thoughts on if this is stalled or if you think this cycle is going OK. Just being that I started in April, feels like it's not going as it should . Thanks in advance for all the people who are riled of answering cycling questions over and over and over....
P.s. I know you are not supposed to look at ammonia test kit from top down, but it was only way I could snap this picture.

I wouldn’t stress about nitrite in a QT tank, it’s not really toxic to fish, except at unrealistically high levels. As long as ammonia is being consumed, as soon as you add some phosphate from feeding the fish, the nitrite will come down anyhow.

You added Microbacter 7 according to the instructions? And you are cycling your DT or QT?

My advice would be to take some water to your LFS and ask them to test it.

IF YOU HAD TO TAKE A REEFING EXAM, WOULD YOU PASS?
