I can read all the other Levels which appear to be healthy, and using another test my ammonia reads 0 but i’m having a hard time reading my nitrites. can anyone help? also could anyone tell me what amount of nitrite would be unhealthy for damsels?

Am I mistaken, or is that a freshwater test kit?

So is your tank freshwater or saltwater?

it’s a saltwater and freshwater test kit but for some reason it didn’t come with a saltwater comparison, although looking it up the saltwater comparison for the same test kit is identical to the freshwater one. sorry for the misunderstanding.

the truth is, if they've been in your tank overnite and not dead they're not going to die.

ammonia is the param that matters, and it quick kills if your tank can't handle some.

most people adding fish have added bottle bac or they're in a post-cycle tank...that nitrite wont matter.
