API test kit. Reading is as follows as of this morning.

Ammonia - 0-.25ppm (color is in between)
Nitrite - 5.0ppm + (Highest on test kit)
Nitrate - 10.0ppm

I had read that too high of nitrites was a bad thing and could stall the cycle. Should I do a water change to bring them down? Was thinking of doing a 25% water change and see where that leaves me. Nitrites have been 5.0 (or over) for a few days now which is my fault as I was feeding the bacteria more than I should have :squigglemouth:. Anyway, let me know your thoughts and suggestions.. they're always appreciated!

I would leave it until Ammonia and Nitrites are 0 before doing a water change.

Don't waste your water till it's done. You are close to cycled. Good work. Eventually nh4 and no2 will go to 0 only left w no3 and will be pretty solid. Then h2o change to lower no3 and can start adding light cleanup crew and can feed them.

Your feeding bacteria! The nitrites are what they eat. You may have gotten confused between nitrites and nitrates , it happens more than you think with beginners :)
The more ammonia you feed the stronger it makes your tank (it's just like having a fully stocked tank). It may take longer to cycle but it's worth it. Beginners intend to overstock with in a month or two, so overstocking your ammonia during your cycle is only gonna make things better!
Don't do any water changes till your ammonia or nitrites are at 0
