I have a Regal Angel in QT that has its dorsal fin dissolving due to a bacterial infection. It also has a white splotch on one pectoral fin. I've been treating with Nitrofuracin Green for the past 3 days and just moved to a new tank with fresh NFG as I'm doing TTM. My concern is that I don't see the infections clearing up. I didn't do a 25% change with adding more NFG because of the TTM but am wondering if because of that I'm not getting enough medicine in the tank. I'm also wondering if I can combine NFG with another antibiotic like Kanaplex. Recommendations?

Thanks

I would stay the course with NFG for at least 10 days. All antibiotics are notoriously slow acting in fish. If after 10 days you see no improvement, switch over to Kanaplex + Metroplex.

Should I do 25% daily wc while adding a full 1/4 tsp per 20g daily? My QT is 20g. I'm a little confused about the instructions.

I've gotten away with doing the 25% WC every other day, but doing one before each treatment is what is safe & recommended. You dose NFG every 24 hrs for 10-14 days.

Thanks for the explanation, that helps. My thought is to mix each daily dose in the bucket of new water as opposed to directly in the tank after the water change.
