Hey guys so i have zero algae and no diamtoms that are visible as of yet in my 85 gallon tank

Its been running for 2 months

Now im not complaining lol

But i was hoping to get some cuc in there to help with food leftovers
But if theres no algae for them to eat aswell as leftover then is it a smart idea to get a small cuc ?

yes small, or they will die and cause the very thing you are getting them for.

I had no algae or diatoms for 2 months and had some trochus snails for about 6 weeks before diatoms hit. They will find a way to clean the tank as algae has already started to grow just might not be clearly visible.

I accidentally said ive been lucky to not have the ugly stage and honestly felt like the next day I had daitoms. DOH!!
