Just tested my Alk and I noticed it hasn’t changed from my weekly dose last week (setting up a doser, but I dose weekly with a syringe). I have heard things about corals just not taking in Calcium and Alk sometimes and I was wondering why this happened.
My best guess is that I just added 5 new corals on Saturday, one SPS, three LPS, and one softie. Is this normal?

If alk is not being consumed, there no way for calcium or magnesium to be significantly consumed.

New arrivals might have irritated existing corals a bit. I'd just keep watching them.

Do the existing corals look OK?

Yes, nothing wrong. Everything extending as usual.
