my sps have very little color whats wrong

im dosing,

1 drop of lugols a day

coral amino--------

nitrate-0
po4-0

ammonia-0

nitrite-0

calcium- 480

mag-?

alk 8-9

ph 8.2-8.3

running bio pellets

Lightness of color can be due to too little nutrient in the water or too much light. My first suggestion is to begin feeding your fish more and more often.

ok every thing is good but colors are getting duller now and one acro is starting to lose
its flesh very slowly from base up:sad:
this is stressful:cry:

p04=0.2
nitrate0

edit: if carbon dosing keep alk 7-8, double check your salinity, frag whatever is STN'ing cut dead off and refrag live part...

if your carbon dosing wont alk above 10 kill the acro

and btw everything is doing great and growing like a weed exept for all the acros

Do you have a Mg test kit? Would suggest checking into this as soon as possible. What is the temperature of your tank?

Temp looks great but suggest you take a look at what natural seawater is as far as levels before you go hammerin' you dKH/Alk up, also take a look at your Mg level. seems to be on the low in. JMO. Good Luck!!

Mg

Something doesn't add up here...

If your mag is really 1100, there's no way your Ca is 480.

i just got one today it is 1100

I think there is a possibility that you can have Ca that high with the Mg low

temp 77
There is a possibility that you can have higher levels of Ca with a low level of Mg

There are sooo many reasons this could be happening and to put your finger on one is very difficult. Chris, start from the beginning...when did this start happening, any changes around that time? If no then start with step one:
1 Water, do you make, or do you buy?
2 dosing?
3 new bulbs
4 etc
Just a suggestion, take a look at any changes that you have made recently. You may find the problem.

saltwater mixed @ 1.025 sg using tropic marin proreef mixed my self using 0 tds rodi(my own)

im dosing kalk via ato,1 drop of lugols a day alk 10 ml seems to keep it stable no swing bigger than 1 dhk a day

bulbs 4 months old(all)

don't rule out a bad batch of salt. so much things can go wrong with reef tanks. stray voltage etc..etc...

I would stop dosing 1 drop of lugols a day. Lugols is very concentrated and I doubt your SPS are using that much a day. I also doubt this is what is causing your STN and bleaching but still, 1 drop a day is a lot IMO. I do 2.5 drops every 2 weeks on a 55 and my corals colors are great and I have no bleachers anymore.
