No Coral dip for new corals

Got home from lfs to realize Im out of coral dip. Do I run back to the lfs (only 20 minutes away) or observe them closely?

Ive bought many corals from this lfs and only once had pests come off during a dip

If you are posting about this I assume you have some level of concern; I'd get the dip and rest easier tonight, lol.

IMPO Run back to the store. If they can make it 30 hours in bags shipped in planes and then in the back of trucks, they can make it sitting for an hour in bags in your sump/tank.

Better safe than sorry. Just takes 1 pest for you to wonder why you ever thought to not go back to the store.

It's your rodeo. But I always dip - even when I get them from my trusted LFS.

If your only twenty minutes away I would definitely go back. Not worth the risk. Just float them while your gone

This isn’t an emergency..but you decide. I’ve never dipped a coral so far. Yes I have aptasia / bubble algae, bryopsis ect but all are managed by the fish / cuc

You feelin lucky punk? I’d go back and get the dip. 20 mins is nothing compared to the time and aggravation if you intro pests to your DT.
