I'd hoped to get my first couple fish into quarantine today, but the QT isn't processing ammonia well yet, even with the addition of some live rock that was cycled with the DT. So here I am watching reefing videos instead

What do you all do when the urge to do something in your tanks is strong but the time isn't right?

You have worked hard on your tank and qt. You are just gonna kill or seriously stress anything in that qt. It's just not worth the rush. IMO.

So true. Which is why I'm not at the LFS right now Truly, waiting for things to happen in due course is one of the really difficult aspects of this hobby. I've made that mistake with the tanks I used to keep years ago, and I hope I've learned better.
