Hello,
My protein skimmer has only been running for a few weeks. Was working great at first. Just noticed today that it is no longer producing foam, and, really, hardly any bubbles at all. I've tried adjusting the pump speed and the valve that controls water level inside of the skimmer, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I can confirm that the pump is sucking in water. Not sure that it is sucking in adequate air - I tried putting my finger over the tubing and it doesn't feel like there's any suction, but I don't know how this compares to when it was working.
I've attached a picture to show what it looks like - water without bubbles/foam.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
