Getting back into the hobby and took advantage of Petco's $1 per gallon sale. I may have gotten a little carried away and bought three 40B but that's alright everyone needs back ups! I had a 80gal Deep Blue (48x24x16) as my last tank about a year ago and did not kinda threw the tank together. This time I am not holding back and taking my time to get exactly what I want equipment wise.

Just got my Trigger Systems Emerald 39 Sump (this thing is awesome) very well packaged everything they say it was and more then I expected as far as quality.
Product list of what I would like to do for this build (open to suggestions)
Tank: 40 Breeder (36x18x16)
Stand: Petco Brooklyn metal stand
Lights: Aqua Illumination Prime HD x2 maybe 3
Overflow: Snyergy Shadow 16" Overflow (new one)

Sump:
Trigger Systems Emerald 39
Skimmer: Reef Octopus 110INT
Return: Mag 9.5 or 7
Flow: Ecotech Vortech MP10wQD
ATO: Tunze Osmolator 3155 (10gal tank)
Reactor: BRS mini reactor (Carbon)
Controller: Digital Aquatics Reef keeper lite
Heater: Titanium heater?

BRS RO/DI Unit

I would like to set it up like a peninsula because I havent done one before and want to do a minimalist aquascape. I have seen videos and forms that have inspired a peninsula so I am going for it. I want to set up the sump off to the side and not directly on the floor for a little bit easier access. I am worried about head pressure to get back to the tank.

I'm following along. I'm doing a 40 breeder as well and I'm interested to see what other people do with it.

Welcome back to the hobby, looking forward to seeing your setup :)

Welcome! We are glad to have you back to the greatest hobby in the worls

Welcome back! I really like those trigger systems sumps!!

I just did a 40 gallon breeder frag tank added onto my 75 display, it was the first time I drilled a tank and it was way easier than I expected. If your going to paint the back and or bottom I would highly recommend using Plastidip in the spray can, it was also the first time I used that and it worked awesome

@bigdan3489 Its my first time drilling too and I am a little intimidated about drilling but the good thing is PETCO is having their $1 per gallon sale again so worse case scenario I can get another 40B. I do have back up 40B though.
I will look into Plastidip because right now I have acrylic (got the idea from king of DIY) and the basic Krylon spray paint. thanks for the advice.

Absolutely, I highly recommend getting the drill guide from BRS that is around $20 and their drill bit, it was really simple just take your time with it and watch their video

So here is an update on my tank. I bought a stand for the sump so I could keep it off the ground and have a little storage space underneath. Plus I want the sump to be a show piece just as much as the display.
On a side note looks like I may be coming across a new set up because the deal is sweet. 80 gallon Deep Blue with a 40 breeder sump so this project might get scrapped for the 80. Good thing is that I bought everything with the intention that I would be upgrade later on so the transition wont be bad.
Down side I did buy the new Synergy Reef 16" Shadow Overflow and the 80 already has an overflow.

Pictures to come if/when I get the new set up

Sounds like a great build ! Can you share picks of the stand you bought for your sump ?

Welcome aboard, SubZ3ro!

I was just about to say how intrigued I was by someone creating a peninsula with a 40-B, when I saw the 80 walk in . . . should be interesting!
