I recently got a bunch of dwarf Cerith snails from reef cleaners and in the bunch when I dropped them in this things appeared. I am not even sure if it is alive but any information on what it is and if it is good or bad would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like it might be some ogo macro algae. Very possible coming from reel cleaners, that’s something he sells.

No it does not. But when it initially went into tank the shell it was empty.
Interesting....we had a nudi once that looked similar and didn't move unless it was in the current.

I guess I will keep it in my tank and just monitor it to see what it does.

I would say it was a plant unless it appeared suddenly. If it’s motile, I’m sure it will move when the lights go off.
