Yes they work. If you want to get it sooner, you could wait for the lights to turn off and look for it at night with a flash light. Snatch em with pliers. Should be easy to find, it looks pretty big.

They work really well in my experience. Bottle trap with some bait overnight.

Maybe but the other is a fireworm and not reef safe. I would assume the OP is talking about the fireworm.

Fireworms can be brazen IME. Hope the trap works for you. Common bristleworms are great to have but fireworms need to go.

That one may be, but I’m sure there are more hiding out somewhere. Grab the ones you can with pliers and trap any others.
