My pink lemonade frag that i've had for about 3 months now has no yellow color at all...the tips had a bit when I first got it but as of now it is just a pinkish all around from the skin to the polyps...the corals growing which is a good sign...any idea of what could be wrong with it?

I have it up top in my 29 with a Radion gen 3 pro over the top running at 50%...I can't get a good pic with my iPhone it comes out too blue.

I keep mine under t5s. No problem with color at all. I have two colonies. The mother is at the top of the tank and a baby colony at mid level both have same yellow
Coloration.

Could it be nitrates? Or a change in flow?

I've grown this coral for years and if it's not yellow it's usually one of two things, not enough light or too much nutrients. The other possibility is a pest like red bugs but yours looks healthy and you said you're getting good growth so thats not likely the problem. Mine seem to color up best in 3-400 par if that helps.

I'm going to up the intensity to 55% over three weeks and see what happens.

Nah, mine is under LEDs and it's yellow. I've heard higher intensity makes it yellow rather than green but never tested the theory.

I agree, intense light, and low nutrients. I have mine aout 8inches down directly under a 250W radium, and its bright yellow

I have the same problem with mine :( most likely not enough light, I would say its gets about 300 Par. I have polyp extension that you wouldn't believe though and decent growth, I have a lot of green in mine.

I'm pretty sure it was high nutrients, I just did a water change and I'll see how it looks in the next couple weeks.

The pink lemonade turns green under LED's and yellow under T-5's. I've had it under both and this is what happened.

In my tanks this is exactly opposite. when i have the pink lemonade under MH/t5 it goes fully green.
Under my Radion Gen2Pros its more yellow than a lemon :)

I agree that it probably needs more light, mine is at around 150-200 PAR and just doesn't get the yellow super bright, it gets a really deep yellow. Move it to higher light to get the bright yellow to pop.

I need to get a PAR meter to check where mine sits. It is under 8 ATI T5's and ReefBrites, roughly 10" from light. Mine is neon yellow with pink/red polyps. Growth is moderate. I will be adding 2 Kessil 360's soon.

Mine was more green when I had purchased a frag until I put it about 8" under my 6x39w ATI Sunpower. Now it's turning yellow.
