No luck keeping corals alive

Please ignore anyone talking about your nitrates and phosphates at this point.

You're basically putting your corals in a freshwater tank. They are not starving.

If people don't understand this, you should be careful about the advice they are giving.
I don’t think they understood the salt issue, that I was mixing up PPT and thought it was SPG

I agree the salt issue is #1 but you cannot dismiss the other issues also identified in this thread. It takes more than proper salinity to have long term coral success.

I bet I’m not the first one to do this.

Of course not! Heck, the LFSs keep fish in pretty low salinity water to knock down ich.

These things happen. You're on the right track now! @Karen00 totally nailed it on this one.

Your tank will be back in shape in no time.

When you are ready for more corals, make sure to check out your local reef club. I'm sure someone there can hook you up!

What @Karen00 said, put saltwater, about 35 ppt, into the ato.
The exact salinity in the ato is not important. Monitor your tank salinity daily. Switch back to rodi when salinity in tank is 35 or 36 ppt, your choice.
That’s what I am doing now based on these conversations

Wanted to post back with an update of a much happier tank.
