Hi.

Since very long time now I have noticed that the corals don't grow up.
They are in the same state since winter.
I also noticed that there is no microorganism in the the sump and when I change the filter sock there is no pods or other microorganism, the filter sock is dirty but no microorganism.
The same thing when I clean up the macro algae reactor, there is no pods.
I feel that there is something missing in the aquarium. Its too sterile.
I don't know what it is.
The aquarium is four years old.
I feed the fish two times a day.
The values of Ca, Mg, KH, PO4, No3, KH, temp, salinity are OK.
I use also RO water.
Since long time I use the salt Blue Treasure. May be it's because of it.
I will try Reef Crystals and see if it will be better.

What do you think?
The microorganism should be there, but there is nothing.

I would suggest trying rodi. RO will not pull out heavy metals such as copper that will kill bugs , and does not pull out cloramines and other chemicals that are used to stop pipe corrosion and kill bacteria.

I dunno. I’d look for contaminats that would kill bugs. Either from the water or another source.

Not enough information about your system to give any advice.

On a night you dont have to work the next day.....set your cellphone for 3am to wake yourself up.

At 3am, get a flashlight and inspect your LR.

At 3am, you should see all kinds of reef micro bug activity on the LR.

3am these microorganisms know fish are sleeping and wont get eaten, so they FREELY feast at 3am.

If not much activity at 3am...... Reefbrite makes a product call Reef Bugs that does well seeding your tank:
