So I've been giving some thought to doing away with the Cheato in my Fuge. This is largely in the past 6 months I have seen no growth what so ever from it. My N (4.0ppm) and P (0.08ppm) are low using GFO and Carbon dosing so there really isn't much nutrients for it to consume. The only real reason for it is for a reverse light cycle to help with nightly pH swings. However my pH never drops below 7.9 and can reach 8.3 during the day. With all this said I'm giving real thought to growing frags down there with a more suitable light such as an XR15 and get rid of the H80 I have down there. Still a reverse lighting cycle and keeping the rock down there for bacteria and pods just put a frag rack over the top of the rocks. What do you all think about this plan or should I just let this macro just exist down there.

I had the same issue, doing the same thing you are. I'd just ditch the Chaeto, and go with the frags, you'll be much happier.
