If you use too much Reef Roids will that cause excessive algae?
Like other foods, yep. I target fed mine but I didn’t have it thick enough. Target feeding will help prevent over feeding.

I have a 24-30" thin baster from one of the awuarium companies i use to feed corals with. I use a little food, add some water to make a slurry. I then carefully feed each coral

That planktonic smell is an indicator that it's Good stuff.

My dog chewed open a big container of reef roids, dumped it all over the rug near my tank, and then proceeded to roll in and lick up what he could. Let me tell you, he STUNK.

Corals love it though, so I keep buying it; I just keep it in a safer place now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My wife about throws up every time I’m putting some LRS in a shot glass to thaw. My cats loose there crap too

Maybe it's just because I've been using it for 10 years or however long it's been since it came out, but I don't think it stinks. I'm not saying I like the smell but it doesn't bother me in the least. I just went and smelled it after reading this.
