No phospate no nitrates but still algae

I really dont get it. My tests show zero dectable but i am still groeing algae in the tank despite the fact there is cheto in my refugium. What is happenin here? Need help pls

Algae needs to be listed by predation and competition. Sounds like you need more things that eat the algae. You should never bottom out nitrate and phosphate as a means to combat algae (whether or not you do so on purpose)

There are other factors that promote algae such as light intensity, tank at or near a window, water source, inorganic presence and even False readings which may be in your case.
What test kits are you using ?

Jbl test. I bought a new one as i thought maybe its too old but still get same result.

What lights are you using?
Is tank at or near a window?

Suggestion: Take a water sample to a trusted LFS that does not use Api kits and see what readings they come up with and to compare with yours.

Im using the red sea 50 and am running it at 60%.
